Latecoere México seeks a Metrology Engineer Specialist in Hermosillo to ensure the conformity of machined parts by performing geometrical inspection and testing operations according to customer drawings.

You will develop inspection programs for Faro Arm or CMM, manage calibration documentation, and support other departments with metrology expertise, while organizing tools and ensuring traceable quality records.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• +5 years of metrology or inspection experience.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Experience with CMM and Faro Arm.

Responsabilidades

• CMM program expert and part inspection to drawing requirements.
• Measure parts to validate characteristics per drawings.
• Create inspection programs for Faro Arm or CMM.
• Maintain updates for tools, equipment and verification records.
• Perform on-site calibration checks and follow up processes.
• Organize and supervise tool handling and storage.
• Report dysfunctions to Metrology coordinator.
• Provide Metrology support to other departments.
• Lead or support improvement projects as needed.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Metrology Engineer Specialist ensures the conformity of our machined parts by performing geometrical inspection and testing operations in accordance with customer drawings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• CMM Program Expert
• Measure the parts to validate characteristic according drawing requirements
• Create inspection programs for Faro Arm or CMM
• Ensure update and liability database of tools, equipment, machines and tooling subject to periodicalverifications
• Ensure periodic on-site calibration checks, following up the entire process
• Organize and supervise the use, handling and storage of the tools and equipment
• Report to dysfunction and escalation to Metrology coordinator.
• Metrology support to other departments
• In charge of improvement projects either as responsible or support if required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Advanced English
• +5 years of experience
• Confident with Excel
• Confident with metrology equipment
• Meticulous, rigorous, motivated, organized and have a good teamwork attitude
