Acensblue is seeking a Quality Supervisor for Suppliers and Metrology to lead Quality Engineering and Supplier Quality functions at the site. The role collaborates with the Inspection team to drive improvements in supplier performance and product quality, while ensuring alignment with customer requirements and regulatory standards.

Leading a team of Quality Engineers, you will mentor staff, manage PPAP approvals, and implement robust corrective actions.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 8 years in Supplier, Process and/or Customer Quality;Experience leading people.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership, mentoring and development of Quality Engineers and Supplier Quality Engineer, collaborating with the Inspection team.
• Facilitate problem solving and coordinate corrective and preventive actions; assist the quality manager in system development and maintenance.
• Drive supplier improvement in Quality, Delivery and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Identify needs and develop Quality Engineering and Supplier Quality Engineering functions as required.
• Own the Supplier PPAP approval process.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements and government regulations affecting product quality.
• Drive customer, supplier and internal corrective actions for timely resolution.
• Support improvement of key suppliers with process controls and QA plans.
• Collaborate with Site Quality Manager to standardize daily activities supporting key initiatives.
• Ensure effective communication/reporting to customers and suppliers.

Quality Supervisor (Suppliers and Metrology)

What you'll do:

Reporting to the Site Quality Manager, this position gives direction to Quality Engineering and Supplier Quality functions, as needed. This position provides leadership, mentoring, evaluation and development of Quality Engineers and Supplier Quality Engineer. Also, Quality Supervisor will be working very close with the Inspection team (Final and Receiving). Responsible for driving supplier improvement in the areas of Quality, Delivery and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, mentoring, evaluation and development of Quality Engineers and Supplier Quality Engineer, also working very close with Inspection team (final and receiving).
• Facilitate problem solving, ensure coordination and communication of corrective and preventive actions, and assist the quality manager in system development and maintenance.
• Responsible for driving supplier improvement in the areas of Quality, Delivery and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Identify needs, and develop the Quality Engineering and Supplier Quality Engineering functions as required.
• Overall responsible for the Supplier PPAP approval.
• Provide direction to ensure compliance with all applicable customer requirements and government regulations involving product quality.
• Drive customer, supplier and internal corrective action and preventive action for timely and effective completion.
• Support improvement performance of key suppliers by implementing process controls and develop quality assurance plans.
• In collaboration with the Site Quality Manager review, improve & standardize the daily activities and actions necessary to support the key functional initiatives which will drive the organization forward.
• Assure effective communication and reporting to customers and suppliers.

Qualifications:

1. Education level required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, from an accredited institution.

2. Years and area of experience required

Minimum of 8 years in Supplier, Process and/or Customer Quality.

Experience leading people.

3. Technical knowledge

• Metrology Lab Management experience.
• High knowledge level of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Knowledge of industry quality registration requirements and certification processes (i.e. ISO9001/AS9100)
• Demonstrated use of Lean Tools and Six Sigma and problem-solving tools and techniques (8D,A3, 3-Legged 5 Why).
• Experienced in use of AIAG quality tools to reduce variability and mitigate risk (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and SPC).
• Wide experience in Metal-Mechanical Industry, stamping, die cut and sheet metal processes, including experience with transfer, progresive and simple dies,and peripheral components like matrixes, guides, inserts, punches and stripper plates.
• Wide understanding of press process parameters (pressure, lubrication, speed etc), and defects detection: (burrs, cracking, wrinkling, distortion, tool marks, flow marks)
