Job summary

Jabil in Mexico is seeking a Workcell Manager to direct manufacturing operations in a medical environment. You will drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, cost, people, and customer service while leading a cross-functional team and coordinating with customers, business and operations leadership.

You will manage workcell strategy, forecast cost, and performance metrics, escalate risks, and ensure data-based decision making and rapid issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
• Minimum eight years of operations, engineering, or supply chain-related experience; medical device environments
• Five years’ experience in operations, engineering, or planning management role; or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of workcell management role experience (preferably on JOS)
• Management of complex multi-customer workcell and/or several NPI program launches in a big mono-customer workcell
• Professional English and Spanish communication skills are required for customer and Global cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Owns what must be delivered—priorities, commitments, tactics, workcell KPIs & KBIs, corrective action, and team execution.
• Owns workcell manufacturing cost for actuals and forecast-cost projections accuracy, expense control, productivity, scrap, labor utilization, inventory exposure, and cost recovery in partnership with the Business Unit and Finance.
• Owns profitability and manufacturing-cost improvement initiatives throughout the fiscal year.
• Translate customer and site priorities into a clear workcell strategy, execution plan, and operating rhythm.
• Anticipate customer needs, resolve issues quickly, and manage internal and external escalations through closure.
• Lead cross-functional teams through influence and shared accountability for program ramp-up, sustaining, changing priorities, and periods of operational pressure.
