Marelli is seeking a Product Engineer - Mechanical Design in Mexico to design and develop mechanical solutions for electronic products. You will collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet customer specs and industry standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role is based in Aguascalientes with a hybrid work model and opportunities for growth within Marelli's global automotive engineering teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in electronics/automotive.
• Proficient CAD skills in Siemens NX or CATIA; knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Responsabilidades

• Design detailed mechanical components for electronic products and ensure GD&T accuracy.
• Create prototypes and perform tests to validate designs.
• Collaborate with product engineering, software, and other teams to integrate mechanical, electronic, and software elements.
• Use CAD and simulations to optimize performance, manufacturability and cost.

About the Position:

We are looking for a Product Engineer - Mechanical Design to join the North America Electronic Systems Product Engineering team, reporting directly to the Product Engineering Manager.

This position is based at our office in Aguascalientes, Mexico.

As the Product Engineer - Mechanical Design at Marelli, you will play a critical role in designing and developing innovative mechanical solutions for our electronic products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality designs that meet customer specifications and industry standards.

Your Responsibilities will be:

• Design and Development: Create detailed mechanical designs for electronic products, ensuring compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements. Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) for precise fits between components.
• Prototyping and Testing: Contribute with prototypes building and testing to validate design concepts, identify potential issues, and ensure functionality and reliability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the other product engineering teams, software developers, and other team members to integrate mechanical designs with electronic and software components.
• Analysis and Simulation: Utilize CAD tools and simulation software to analyze and optimize designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness. Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.

What Qualifications you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the electronic systems or automotive industry.
• Proficiency in using CAD software (Siemens NX or CATIA), strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Other skills that we would welcome:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• English: fluent.
