Corning Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design Technician to support design, development, and deployment of fixtures, tooling, and equipment for NPI and manufacturing processes. You will create CAD models and drawings, fabricate prototypes, and help with validation and documentation.

In this role you will work with FED engineers and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, safety, quality, and cost reduction while maintaining accurate records and BOMs.

Formación

• Associate/technical degree in Mechanical Design or related field.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing, mechanical design, drafting, or equipment support.
• Conversational English.
• Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings.

Responsabilidades

• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation for fixtures, tooling, and support equipment.
• Support development, fabrication, assembly, and validation of fixture and equipment solutions for NPI and manufacturing.
• Operate and maintain resin and filament 3D printers to support prototyping and fixture development activities.
• Assist engineers in prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and equipment implementation activities.
• Support fixture validations and production trials on the manufacturing floor in collaboration with NPI, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to support production needs and process improvements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to obtain components, materials, and fabricated parts.
• Maintain accurate BOMs, drawings, and engineering records in accordance with company standards.
• Support equipment installation, startup, validation, and operator training activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
