Job summary

Ford Model e U.S. seeks a trainee to support Product Development engineers in designing improvements for quality and cost/weight optimization. The role involves assisting with parts validation, aligning with ES, SDS, and manufacturing requirements, while applying data-driven problem solving.

The ideal candidate is a Mechanical Engineering student in their final year with fluent English (C1), strong organizational skills and experience using Catia V5; 3DX/Catia V6 and MS Office are assets.

Qualifications

• BS or final year student of Mechanical Engineering.
• Fluent English. C1 level.
• Strong problem-solving skills using a data-driven approach.
• Familiarity with Engine Air and Exhaust components and manufacturing processes is desired.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Product Development engineers to design improvements for quality and cost/weight optimization.
• Help the responsible engineer comply with Corporate and Local Requirements for parts validation.
• Consider ES and SDS as well as Manufacturing and Assembly requirements in tasks.
• Support clear oral and written communication with teammates and customers.
