TE Connectivity in Hermosillo is seeking a Manufacturing Planner to ensure on-time deliveries by optimizing production schedules, material flow, and inventory. You will collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Customer Service, Quality, and Engineering to maintain smooth operations and drive continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes SAP-based planning, MRP management, and cost-conscious production.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and professional experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in MRP, Production Planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, or related field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop and maintain production schedules using SAP.
  • Create, release, and manage production orders based on demand, material availability, and capacity.
  • Partner with production teams to meet customer requirements while optimizing inventory and costs.
  • Monitor daily production performance and identify deviations from planned schedules.
  • Manage MRP exception messages and ensure timely actions.
  • Maintain inventory levels to support operational requirements while maximizing turns.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to late deliveries, production delays, and shortages.
  • Provide finished goods availability information to Customer Service teams.
  • Review and manage equipment and labor capacities to ensure accurate planning assumptions.
  • Participate in production review meetings and provide planning recommendations.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Tactical Buyers to ensure material availability and mitigate risks.
  • Support inventory management initiatives, supplier collaboration, and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Work with Quality teams to ensure timely release of finished goods and coordinate rework when needed.
  • Identify and elevate BOM, routing, or system data issues and follow through to resolution.
  • Support audits, quality systems, and new product introduction (NPI) activities.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning and supply chain performance metrics.
  • Prepare and maintain planning reports, performance analyses, and operational documentation.
  • Support S&OP and MPS activities as required.

Job Overview

The Manufacturing Planner is responsible for production planning, scheduling, inventory control, and material flow management within a designated manufacturing area. This role ensures the availability of materials and production capacity to support on-time customer deliveries while optimizing inventory levels and manufacturing costs.

The Manufacturing Planner works closely with Production, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Customer Service, Quality, and Engineering teams to maintain an efficient production flow, support business objectives, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The role plays a critical part in meeting customer expectations by ensuring accurate planning, proactive issue resolution, and effective use of planning tools and systems.

What Your Background Should Look Like
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and professional experience will be considered.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Production Planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, or a related field.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.
