Job summary

Tenarai - LATAM seeks a Master Data Engineer to design, configure, and automate matching, merging, and validation logic in Salesforce. You will reduce manual touches and improve system throughput by building robust data remediation workflows.

• Deep technical configuration skills in Salesforce—Flows, duplicate/matching rules, validation rules, bulk data loading/operations, and reporting.
• Proficiency in Python (or equivalent scripting language) with practical experience applying automation or ML logic to classification and matching problems.
• Data remediation at scale with measurable metric improvements in customer, account, or order data.
• Strong professional communication in English, across global stakeholders in AMS, EMEA, and APJ.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Clean customer and order data is the critical dependency across our enterprise CRM and CPQ transformation roadmap. Today, too many rule-based decisions and data corrections are handled manually.

This is a build role, not a queue-processing role.

We are looking for a Master Data Engineer who designs, configures, and automates matching, merging, hierarchy resolution, and validation logic in Salesforce. In this position, data remediation is the method used to test, validate, and tune the automation logic—not a static backlog to absorb. Success is measured by driving manual touchpoints down and system throughput up.

What You’ll Do

• Build Salesforce Automation: Design, build, and deploy matching, merging, deduplication, and validation rules in Salesforce (SFDC) to systematically eliminate manual touches and recurring defect patterns.
• Master Complex Hierarchies & Identifiers: Configure logic for parent–child, reseller, distributor, and end-customer relationships, as well as critical account-assignment checks (e.g., OPSI assignment rules).
• AI & Automated Matching: Implement automated and AI-assisted workflows for missing-data detection, account-matching assistance, and order classification.
• Validate on Production Populations: Run rule sets against live account and order records to evaluate precision and recall; baseline and prove performance metrics (match precision, manual touches per order, defect rate reductions) before release.
• Manage Residual Queues & Convert Patterns: Handle unautomated residual queues (e.g., complex indirect orders) while actively converting repeating defects into persistent validation rules to shrink operational queues over time.
• Technical Documentation & Governance: Author functionality specifications, data-model impact documentation, and acceptance test evidence inside Jira following agile delivery practices.
• Support Enterprise Initiatives: Partner with cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Solution Architects, SFDC Developers, Sales Ops, BI) supporting initiatives like enterprise territory alignments, Customer 360, and recurring billing enablement.

What You Bring

• Experience: 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in master data management (MDM), data operations, or CRM data quality within large-scale enterprise environments.
• Salesforce Build Capabilities: Deep technical configuration skills in Salesforce—Flows, duplicate/matching rules, validation rules, bulk data loading/operations, and reporting.
• Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in Python (or equivalent scripting language) with practical experience applying automation or ML logic to classification and matching problems.
• Data Remediation at Scale: Proven track record of cleaning and restructuring large volumes of customer, account, or order data, backed by measurable metric improvements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong professional communication in English (written and verbal), comfortable working across global stakeholders across AMS, EMEA, and APJ.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Prior experience with enterprise channel data structures and master identifiers (e.g., OPSI, BPID, HPD, OSS).
• Experience in Fortune 100 or global enterprise CRM/CPQ and order management ecosystems.
• Salesforce Certifications (Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Data Architect).
• Experience working in Jira and TestRail under structured sprint cycles.
