British American Tobacco Mexico is seeking a Sr Business Analyst to bridge business needs and IT delivery in Monterrey. You will gather and prioritize digital and analytics requirements, translate them into user stories and acceptance criteria, and support roadmap and delivery across project phases.

The role emphasizes ITIL-based service management, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven improvements to ensure performance, stability, and business continuity.

Qualifications

• University degree with 5+ years in IT services management.
• Experience in global IT services and data analytics tools.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes: Incident, Problem and Request Fulfilment.

British American Tobacco Mexico has an exciting opportunity for a Sr Business Analyst in Monterrey.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Partner with customers, business stakeholders, and SMEs to gather, validate, document, and prioritize Digital Tools and Data & Analytics business requirements.
• Translate business needs into actionable deliverables by collaborating with technical teams to define user stories, acceptance criteria, priorities, and value-driven outcomes.
• Support Strategic Project IT Delivery Leads in roadmap planning, project execution, reporting, and successful delivery across all project phases.
• Manage service performance and governance by conducting regular reviews with business stakeholders and service providers, covering SLAs, capacity planning, release management, patching, audits, and continuous improvement actions.
• Coordinate incident resolution, troubleshooting efforts, and operational activities to maintain system performance, stability, and business continuity.
• Ensure change requests are properly assessed for business impact and service-level implications while supporting continuous service improvement initiatives
• Manage the successful end-to-end delivery of Data & Analytics deployments, balancing priorities, managing risks, communicating progress, and escalating issues when necessary.
• Leverage data, adoption metrics, and performance insights to drive continuous improvement, prioritize future enhancements, and identify root causes of adoption or compliance challenges.

What are we looking for?

• University degree, with 5+ years of work experience related to the management of complex IT Services environment
• Business-facing IT experience or engagement in IT projects in a global and dynamic environment and experience with data analytics tools
• Experience in large global organizations using in-sourced and out-sourced IT services and a wide working knowledge of global applications services management.
• Breadth of knowledge of IT Service Management (ITIL) best practices, including Incident Management, Problem Management and Request Fulfilment.
• Good communication skills: oral, written, presentation, facilitation and Relationship management and conflict resolution skills
• Credibility and trust; ideally has earned the respect of IT managers and other business managers at all levels
• Ability to work under pressure, handle stressful situations in a calm manner
• The ability to bring together and work with a team of people with varied backgrounds - business analysts, technical experts, process owners - to articulate and remedy service level issues
• Innovative thinking with service quality, and its improvement, within limits of costs and business direction
