Johnson Controls in Monterrey seeks a CCB Leader to manage the contract engineering team, overseeing both technical and commercial aspects of diverse projects from order receipt to completion. You will be the primary customer contact, driving design, build, testing, and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include reviewing specs, mentoring the team, planning resources with the Contracts Manager, and ensuring project profitability while maintaining schedules and quality standards.

What will you do?

As the CCB Leader at Johnson Controls in Monterrey, you will play a pivotal role in our contract engineering team, overseeing both the technical and commercial aspects of diverse projects. From the moment an order is received, you'll be the primary customer contact, ensuring seamless project execution from design to completion.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing job specifications and designing tailored solutions.
  • Overseeing project build and testing phases.
  • Leading the team to meet departmental and project objectives.
  • Supporting the Contracts Manager with planning, resource allocation, and resolving commercial issues.
  • Coaching and mentoring team members to foster skill and knowledge development.

  • Collaborating with the Development department for job-specific design needs.
  • Coordinating with the Production department on system builds.
  • Briefing commissioning engineers in the Site Services team.
  • Managing multiple projects concurrently, utilizing strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Efficiently overseeing project progress, plans, and budgets.
  • Driving the project team to achieve key results and departmental objectives.
  • Enhancing team performance through growth, development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Handling changes management and internal processes effectively.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
  • Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products.
  • Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
  • Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.
  • Execute successful acquisition and industrialization of new equipment and tooling.
  • Plan and successful competition of special projects as product transfers, new products launch and improvement projects.
Main Activities
  • Participate during the setup and development of first articles and complete manufacturing documentation for series production
  • Crate and update as required, work instructions for machining process operations, standardized work and workload balance charts.
  • Develop tool set document for current production part numbers
  • Develop and update parameter and setup forms according Manufacturing Engineer - CNC Programmer.
  • Define and maintain packing standard according each product and customer requirement.
  • Monitor and validate process cycle time according routings.
  • Track and follow up planned machine utilization and required headcount (DL) according scheduled demand.
  • Analyze and provide action plan for line downtimes related to ME.
  • Drive and execute EC process and warranty complete and successful implementation. Create EC and update status in system. Follow up deliverables with involved departments / team members.
  • Train operators after EC implementation.
  • Develop and maintain Change Over procedures.
  • Maintain master data for current production part numbers, tooling, fixtures, gages and equipment. Participate in Data Integrity Assessment and create EC for any correction.
  • Manage tooling, equipment and process changes and upgrades for current production numbers ty, analyze and reduce risk, support value stream map and execute OPEX projects to improve.
  • Coordinate floor space requirements for improvements on equipment, tooling and consumable storage, with plant layout responsible person (OPEX Leader).
For This Role, You Will Need
  • 2-5+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience (depending on level).
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment, process optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software (CAD, ERP, MES systems preferred).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
