Job summary

Jabil in Tijuana, Mexico seeks a manufacturing/engineering liaison to support the transfer of customer documents to production and to lead technical manufacturing efforts. You will interpret drawings, assist in tooling and processes, and ensure data integrity in QM and SAP systems.

The role involves collaboration with engineering and production, training on processes, and participation in new product introductions and cost-analytics for labor standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to present information to groups of managers, clients, and the public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to operate a PC with Windows and related software including Jabil's packages.
• Advanced PC skills with training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, memos, and visuals.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Leads liaison between engineering and manufacturing for transfer of customer documents to manufacturing processes.
• Provides technical leadership to manufacturing personnel.
• Interprets assembly drawings and collaborates with assemblers to create work instructions.
• Assists engineering in selecting tools and processes needed for assembly.
• Enters routing standards and data into QM Module and SAP correctly.
• Delivers Train The Trainer sessions for processes and equipment.
• Supports transition of new products and prototypes to the manufacturing floor for specific lines.
• Reviews labor standards for re-costing/re-pricing and assists in providing quotes.
• Supports creation of assembly work instructions and ECO/ECR/BOM changes in manufacturing.
• Orders stencils per Jabil Circuit guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
