Regal Rexnord is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to advance lean manufacturing and process improvements on site. You will design and optimize tooling and processes, control costs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across machining operations.

The role requires hands-on experience with CNC equipment, CAD/CAM tools, and a strong grasp of Six Sigma methodologies. Collaboration with production teams is essential to meet safety, quality and delivery targets.

Formación

  • BS in Engineering, or related technical field required.
  • Minimum three years of engineering experience in a manufacturing plant.
  • Experience in industrial technical field; CNC programming is required.
  • At least one year of grinding, turning, and milling machinery.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Apply mechanical design and manufacturing principles to decisions affecting safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Reduce scrap and non-conformances by eliminating waste and variation.
  • Lead root cause corrective actions to improve flow and reduce issues.
  • Optimize productivity with ergonomic and safe workstation designs.
  • Lead Kaizen events based on VSM roadmaps and SMDE/5S.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing cost-out projects.

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

  • Utilizes key mechanical design and manufacturing principles to effectively make decisions impacting safety, product quality, delivery and cost
  • Reduce scrap and non-conformances by eliminating waste and variation in all forms
  • Drives root cause corrective actions to reduce non-conformances and improve flow
  • Optimize productivity through efficient, ergonomic and safe work station and tooling designs
  • Remain current in new Manufacturing Engineering technology, new manufacturing techniques and new equipment. Recommend new approaches where feasible
  • Lead and participate in Kaizen events based on VSM Roadmaps
  • Utilizes RBS tools to solve problems and continuously improve.
  • Promote and facilitate the use/establishment of continuous improvement tools.
  • Assist in developing and implementing the lean manufacturing action plans to support achievement of strategy deployment and strategic business growth.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist others in solving problems using problem solving tools such as DMAIC
  • Develop and implement manufacturing cost out projects.
  • Assist manufacturing and assembly associates to resolve set-up, tooling and fixture problems, special process (heat treatment, plating and welding) and selection of proper tooling and grinding wheels.
  • Develop, maintain and implement process routings and set-up instructions for the production of parts and assemblies
  • Ability to write programs that will machine complex parts to very close tolerances on multiple axes on various machining centers.
  • Horizontal Machining Centers including Macro, sub program and variable programming knowledge.
  • 4 axis lathes, 5 axis lathes, Y axis lathes, and Vertical Machining Centers large and small
  • “Shop Floor” problem solving.
  • Kaizen participation such as SMDE, VSM, 5s, etc.
  • Hands on knowledge of the programs storage and the ability to assist shop associates in uploading and downloading programs
Desirable Experience, Capabilities And Success Factors
  • BS in Engineering, or related technical field required
  • A minimum of three years of engineering experience working in a manufacturing plant environment
  • Experience in industrial technical field, programming CNC equipment is required
  • At least one year of experience with grinding, turning, and milling machinery
  • Ability to extract critical data and analyze data to make informed business decisions.
  • Excellent computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management.
  • Team orientated with the ability to influence others without authority
  • Experience with manufacturing bearings a plus
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt a plus
  • Excellent computer skills (CAD/CAM, Auto Cad, ShopCam, Solid Works, Master Cam word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.)
