AUMOVIO in Mexico is seeking an Assembly Process Engineer to design, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes within Assembly Operations, driving operational excellence through process improvements, cycle time reduction, line balancing, capacity optimization, waste elimination, and productivity enhancements to meet business goals and quality targets.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Advanced English.
• Minimum 3 years in manufacturing/engineering roles.
• Experience with PFMEA activities.

Job Description

• The Assembly Process Engineer is primarily responsible for designing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes within Assembly Operations. The role focuses on driving operational excellence through process improvement, cycle time reduction, line balancing, capacity optimization, waste elimination, and productivity enhancement to achieve business objectives, quality targets, and customer satisfaction.
• As the PFMEA Moderator and technical leader for assigned production lines, the engineer facilitates cross-functional risk assessment activities, ensuring effective identification, evaluation, and mitigation of process risks. The position is responsible for maintaining alignment between PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans, work instructions, and production standards to ensure robust and controlled manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field.
• Advanced English
• Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Automotive Operations.
  • Facilitating or participating in PFMEA activities
• Knowledge:
  • AIAG-VDA PFMEA methodology (Advanced)
  • APQP and PPAP processes
  • Process Flow Diagrams and Control Plans
  • Understanding of IATF requirements
  • Manufacturing Process Control and Risk Management
  • Statistical methods and quality tools
  • PFMEA software tools (APIS IQ-FMEA, PLATO, or equivalent)
  • Microsoft Excel (Advanced), Microsoft PowerPoint
  • SAP (Preferred)
