MISUMI Americas is seeking a Manufacturing Costing Intern to analyze data related to manufacturing processes, raw materials, and cost structure. You will collaborate with sourcing to align data-driven insights with procurement strategies and supplier performance evaluations while developing CBD breakdowns and DFM knowledge.

You will gain hands-on experience in data-driven decision making within the digital manufacturing sector and have potential for a full-time role based on performance.

Formación

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and cost structure is a plus.
• Proficiency in CAD software like SolidWorks, AutoDesk Fusion, etc.
• Experience in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or equivalents.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze customer technical documentation and drawings, extracting data such as raw materials, processes and GD&T for feasibility reviews and sanitized specifications.
• Develop detailed Cost Breakdown (CBD) models and analyze cost structures to support competitive quoting and procurement strategies.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to refine and maintain costing tools and ensure data accuracy.
• Contribute to implementing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) methodologies to improve process efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Work with sourcing, logistics and process teams to develop customer quoting solutions.
