Lite Thinking company is seeking a QA Manual Tester to design and execute thorough tests for APIs and services, ensuring proper integration between systems and microservices. The role involves validating REST and SOAP services, querying databases with SQL, and documenting defects with evidence and reports.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Postman, Swagger, or SoapUI, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to cross-functional teams.

Formación

• Experience designing and executing manual tests for APIs and services.
• Experience with functional and integration testing.
• Basic knowledge of REST and SOAP services.
• Proficiency with Postman, Swagger, or SoapUI.
• Ability to read HTTP methods, endpoints, headers, and bodies.
• Familiarity with HTTP status codes and JSON/XML validation.
• Basic API auth/authorization knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Design test scenarios and cases for APIs and services.
• Prepare test data for validation scenarios.
• Execute functional and integration tests.
• Validate REST APIs using Postman or Swagger.
• Validate SOAP services using SoapUI.
• Check methods, endpoints, headers, parameters, and bodies.
• Review response codes, times, and content.
• Run SQL queries to verify data.
• Record defects with evidence and steps to reproduce.
• Track defects until resolution and re-test.
