Your new role

Ramboll is seeking a full-time Managing Consultant to join the Site Investigation and Remediation group in our Monterrey or Mexico City office. As our new Managing Consultant, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team providing innovative and sustainable site solutions to an international client base.

Job location: Monterrey or Mexico City, Mexico

Responsibilities
  • Manage Phase II investigation and remediation projects.
  • Direct regulatory interactions for remediation plans.
  • Site decommissioning.
  • Lead strategy for path to regulatory closure.
  • Report/presentation data analysis.
  • Track deliverables and manage budget.
  • Manage client and business development activities.
  • Coach/mentor and train junior staff.

About you

These include:

  • The ability to write and speak English fluently.
  • Minimum requirement is B.S. or M.S. in geology, hydrogeology, or environmental engineering (or related engineering field).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in an environmental consulting setting.
  • Expertise in development and delineation of contaminants in various media, evaluation of vapor intrusion conditions, and leading complex site investigations.
  • Experience in managing large projects with complex environmental databases.
  • Working knowledge of remedial technologies including for a variety of COCs including VOCs, LNAPL, metals, SVOCs, and in soil, soil vapor, and groundwater.
  • Track record in achieving regulatory closure of impacted sites.
  • Excellent project management, written, and client communication/management skills.
  • Experience with data visualization techniques.

Physical requirements of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible force constantly to move objects; must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, sit, push/pull, lift and grasp, worker may be subjected to frequent repetitive motions, extreme weather conditions such as extreme heat/cold, loud noises and hazards (i.e.: proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, dusts, gases or poor ventilation).
  • Worker may be required to wear protective equipment, respirator and/or a HAZMAT suit.
