Job summary

BMW Group in San Luis Potosí, Mexico seeks an experienced Maintenance Planner Advanced Specialist to drive the ramp-up of battery plant production systems within the maintenance team. You will analyze errors in a highly automated environment to maximize technical availability and plan maintenance activities for lines and processes, including spare parts management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Significant industrial experience with welding technologies.
• 3+ years in industrial maintenance or related manufacturing.
• Fluent business English.

Responsibilities

• Ramp up the Battery Plant production system within the Maintenance team.
• Perform error analysis and elimination in highly automated environment to ensure high availability.
• Plan maintenance activities for production lines and special processes, including spare parts and materials.
• Optimize production processes and systems together with maintenance, controls, and methodology.
• Use maintenance systems (e.g., SAP) for tasks.
• Support suppliers performing services in the area and verify services.
• Assist associates with technical problems and communicate changes after system updates.
• Lead new projects with other departments aimed at line optimization and availability.

What awaits you?

Your mission is to ensure the successful ramp-up of the Battery Plant production system within your Maintenance team regarding different welding technologies.

• You will work in a highly motivated production team in the series assembly of the Gen 6 energy module.
• You are responsible for error analysis and error elimination in a highly automated environment, to ensure high technical availability.
• Plan various maintenance activities for our production lines and the special processes, this includes spare part administration and general maintenance material to perform those activities.
• Your main tasks also include the optimization of production processes and systems together with operative maintenance, controls and methodology.
• Using maintenance related systems (e.g., SAP) for your maintenance tasks.
• Support all suppliers performing services in the assigned area and double-check the provided service.
• Support associates with technical problems and inform associates about technical changes after a technology/production system update.
• New projects development together with other departments as result of analysis of action plans, with a focus on production line optimization (technical availability and cycle time).

What should you bring along?

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• We are seeking an expert with significant industrial experience and proven knowledge about different welding technologies.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance. Other appropriate experience or qualifications in a related field of manufacturing like battery production or any technologies.
• Good communication, teamwork, problem solving and leadership skills.
• Fluent written and spoken business English required.
