Job summary

BMW Group is seeking a Maintenance Planner Advanced Specialist to lead the ramp-up and ongoing maintenance of the Battery Plant production system within the Maintenance team. You will oversee error analysis in a highly automated welding environment and drive improvements for technical availability and cycle time.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Mechatronics/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, 3+ years in industrial maintenance, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Significant industrial maintenance experience with welding technologies.
• Fluent written and spoken business English.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance planning for production lines and processes, including spare parts administration.
• Analyze and eliminate errors in a highly automated welding production environment to maximize availability.
• Plan maintenance activities for various production lines and special processes; manage maintenance materials.
• Collaborate with operators and other departments to optimize production processes and systems.

What awaits you?

Your mission is to ensure the successful ramp-up of the Battery Plant production system within your Maintenance team regarding different welding technologies.

• You will work in a highly motivated production team in the series assembly of the Gen 6 energy module.
• You are responsible for error analysis and error elimination in a highly automated environment, to ensure high technical availability.
• Plan various maintenance activities for our production lines and the special processes, this includes spare part administration and general maintenance material to perform those activities.
• Your main tasks also include the optimization of production processes and systems together with operative maintenance, controls and methodology.
• Using maintenance related systems (e.g., SAP) for your maintenance tasks.
• Support all suppliers performing services in the assigned area and double-check the provided service.
• Support associates with technical problems and inform associates about technical changes after a technology/production system update.
• New projects development together with other departments as result of analysis of action plans, with a focus on production line optimization (technical availability and cycle time).

What should you bring along?

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• We are seeking an expert with significant industrial experience and proven knowledge about different welding technologies.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance. Other appropriate experience or qualifications in a related field of manufacturing like battery production or any technologies.
• Good communication, teamwork, problem solving and leadership skills.
• Fluent written and spoken business English required.
