Bodycote, the world’s leading provider of thermal processing services, seeks a Maintenance Manager in Mexico. You will ensure quality production through equipment maintenance as a management objective and have the authority to stop processes to mitigate risks or nonconformities.

Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance technicians, ensuring compliance with international standards and customer requirements, and leading safety, environmental, and quality initiatives.

Formación

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years in maintenance.
• English proficiency to interact with management and customers.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure safety and quality by maintaining equipment and supervising maintenance personnel.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards.
• Lead continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.

Position Summary:

Ensuring Quality Production through Equipment Maintenance as a Management objective, with the authority to stop processes in the event of risks or nonconformities.

Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities):

• Ensure customer and interested-party satisfaction through strategic planning and a results-oriented approach to the safeguarding, use, and management of equipment and resources, including human resources assigned to Maintenance.
• Responsible for coordinating Maintenance Technicians.
• Responsible for compliance with international standards and specific customer requirements through leadership, coordination of areas, risk analysis, and provision of the necessary resources within the scope of responsibility to ensure Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Environmental compliance.
• Responsible for leading, promoting, and communicating international, corporate, customer, and internal quality management policies and related changes.
• Responsible for leading, promoting, and communicating international, corporate, customer, and internal Safety / Environmental management policies and related changes.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with Preventive, Corrective, and Predictive Maintenance procedures and reporting results to the Plant Manager / General Manager.
• Responsible for identifying, documenting, monitoring, reporting, and controlling risks and impacts to products and processes that may affect Safety, Environmental performance, Quality, Productivity, and key Maintenance indicators.
• Promotes communication and actively participates with leadership in meetings related to Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Productivity.
• Responsible for ensuring and demonstrating continuous improvement in organizational performance based on Safety, Environmental performance, Productivity, Cost, and Quality.
• Responsible for leading problem-solving and preventive actions within key indicators. (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Environmental).
• Coordinate the resources and interdepartmental efforts required to meet the requirements for Maintenance assurance with Safety, Quality, Productivity, and low Environmental impact.
• Identify training needs and train the different Maintenance team members in the Quality / Safety / Environmental Management System & Equipment.
• Responsible for promoting improvement ideas within the Maintenance team. (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Environmental).
• Set an example of commitment to compliance with Quality Indicators.
  (Safety – Product – Process – QMS - EMS).
• Establish standards to implement and promote 5S.
• Responsible for ensuring and coordinating the interdepartmental efforts required for the care of infrastructure, equipment, customer property, and documented information.
• Responsible for safeguarding, managing, and controlling the spare parts warehouse.

Education:

Engineering degree or equivalent experience

Experience:

5 years in Maintenance

Languages and Level:

English, able to interact with management or senior management and participate in customer conferences

Job Capabilities:

• a) Able to generate procedures and instructions for monitoring and meeting objectives and technical process/product specifications.
• b) Able to follow up on technical information.
• c) Able to manage the spare parts warehouse.
• d) Able to generate a maintenance plan and update it according to its results.

Software Knowledge:

Microsoft Office, Databases.

Specific Technical Process Knowledge:

• a) Basic knowledge of metallurgy.
• b) Knowledge of IATF / ISO 9001
• c) Knowledge of ISO 14001
• d) Knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance
• e) Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, among others.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Physical Capabilities:

• a) Able to work sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time (in an office / industrial environment)
• b) Able to enter data using computer equipment.
• c) Able to perform bending, pulling, stopping, and reaching functions.
• d) Able to lift 10 – 25 kilogram
• e) Able to be exposed to temperatures, vapors, noise, humidity, etc.
• f) Able to observe, read documents, view monitors and screens, etc.
• g) Able to hear in person and by telephone.

Mental Capbilities

• a) Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• b) Have the cognitive ability to perform essential job functions
