Tetra Pak offers an Internship Program in Mexicali, Mexico. You’ll gain hands-on experience, apply knowledge, and collaborate with colleagues in an innovative environment that values diverse perspectives.

You’ll be mentored by a dedicated mentor, build a professional network, and follow a structured onboarding to succeed within a global organization focused on protecting food, people, and the planet.

Formación

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant bachelor's program (Industrial/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Automation or related).
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge is required.
  • Power BI knowledge is a plus.
  • Basic English reading/writing skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Learn and develop technical knowledge within the Maintenance Department by conducting reliability studies on existing equipment and machinery.
  • Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and support preventive and predictive actions to improve machine reliability and performance.
  • Develop a clear understanding of failure mechanisms through root cause analysis (RCA) methodologies.
  • Collect and consolidate data from internal systems, including Prodetiq and Power BI.
  • Categorize, organize, and analyze collected data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) meetings with Production and Engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support reliability initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

The position is based in Mexicali, Mexico and reports to Maintenance Manager


Tetra Pak does not sponsor work or relocation visas for this position.

What you will do

As an Maintenance intern, you will:

We believe you have
  • Bachelor Studies in Progress:Industrial Engineering, Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, Automation, or related any other related
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge.
  • Power BI knowledge is a plus.
  • Microsoft office.
  • English Intermediate:Can hold basic conversations and has strong reading and writing skills
  • Expected Graduation: July 2027 or afterwards.
  • Availability to work and commute to our site 6 hours per day: Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 2 pm, during the full internship program.
  • Availability for internship: January 2027 to June 2027.

If all requirements are met prior, we will be happy to move forward with your application.

Steps of the process:
  • Application review (August 31 – September 25).
  • Interview (October 19 – October 30).
  • Admission (November 2 – November 27.
  • Start Date: January 18, 2027.
