Job summary

Nemak Mexico seeks a Maintenance Head to lead maintenance operations, maximizing equipment availability and reliability while ensuring HSE compliance. You will drive preventive and corrective programs, lead RCA activities with FRACAS, 5 Why, and Ishikawa, and manage backlog with strong leadership.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in industrial maintenance and 5+ years leading teams, with SAP PM experience and English proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• 5+ years of experience leading maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machines, industrial robots, leak testers, and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis methodologies (FRACAS, 5 Why, Ishikawa).
• Knowledge of CMMS systems; SAP PM experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• English proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance operations to ensure maximum equipment availability and reliability.
• Drive compliance with HSE standards, LOTO procedures, audits, and zero-incident objectives.
• Ensure execution and compliance of preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis activities using FRACAS, 5 Why, and Ishikawa.
• Manage maintenance backlog, resource allocation, and prioritization of critical equipment issues.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs and implement actions to improve performance.
• Control maintenance budget and promote cost reduction initiatives.
• Support ISO 14001, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement programs.
• Develop and coach maintenance technicians and leaders to build a high-performance team.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and EHS teams to drive operational excellence.
