Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Advanced English proficiency for meetings, executive presentations, and collaboation with international clients.
• 7+ years in managerial positions within manufacturing.
• Verifiable experience leading Engineering and Maintenance departments.
• Experience in medical, food or beverage health products is a plus.
• Experience with continuous improvement, automation, process optimization and capital investments.
• Experience managing budgets, KPIs and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Engineering and Maintenance departments to ensure equipment availability and efficient production.
• Develop objectives, metrics, budgets, and strategies for both departments.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for reliability.
• Manage automation projects, line transfers, and capacity expansion.
• Coordinate NPIs ensuring compliance with technical, quality, and manufacturing requirements.
• Manage ECNs, technical docs, and operational standards.
• Design and optimize plant layouts for productivity, material flow, and safety.
• Identify initiatives to reduce costs and promote continuous improvement.
• Oversee plant services including electrical, HVAC, compressed air, water and infrastructure.
• Coordinate procurement, installation and validation of machinery and tools.
• Analyze metrics to inform decisions and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Develop, train, and evaluate staff, fostering a high-performance culture.

Job description

Lead the Engineering and Maintenance departments to ensure equipment availability, the efficiency of production processes, the implementation of new projects, and cost optimization, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the objectives, metrics, budgets, and strategies for the Engineering and Maintenance departments.
• Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and availability.
• Oversee automation projects, process improvements, line transfers, and production capacity expansion.
• Coordinate new product introductions (NPIs), ensuring compliance with technical, quality, and manufacturing requirements.
• Manage engineering change notices (ECNs), technical documentation, and operational standards.
• Design and optimize plant layouts to improve productivity, material flow, and safety.
• Identify and implement initiatives to reduce costs, increase productivity, and promote continuous improvement.
• Oversee general plant services, including electrical systems, HVAC, compressed air, water, gas, and infrastructure.
• Coordinate the procurement, installation, and validation of machinery, equipment, and tools.
• Analyze operational and maintenance metrics to inform decision-making and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Develop, train, and evaluate staff under your supervision, fostering a culture of high performance.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced English proficiency is essential (ability to lead meetings, deliver executive presentations, and collaborate with corporate staff and international clients).
• At least 7 years of experience in managerial positions within manufacturing companies.
• Verifiable experience leading Engineering and Maintenance departments.
• Experience in medical, food and or beverages, health products is a plus.
• Experience implementing projects related to continuous improvement, automation, process optimization, and capital investments.
• Experience managing budgets, KPIs, and multidisciplinary teams.

Technical Skills

• Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Management.
• SPC, DOE, FMEA, and process capability analysis.
• Industrial Automation and Process Improvement.
• Interpretation of Drawings and Technical Documentation.
• ERP Systems, preferably MS Dynamics.

Preferred Certifications

• Lean Manufacturing Practitioner or equivalent.
• Six Sigma Black Belt (required or highly preferred).
• Certifications in TPM or Asset Management (preferred).
