Jobtailor in Mexico's Jalisco region seeks a seasoned Mainframe Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications. You will translate business requirements into COBOL/JCL/CICS/DB2 solutions and support batch and online processes.

The role requires production incident handling, code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning, plus collaboration with analysts, QA, and stakeholders while following SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices.

Formación

6+ years of experience in Mainframe Development/Engineering
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, IMS, MQ Series, and TSO/ISPF
Experience with production support and incident management
Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale applications and production support
Preferred: Mainframe modernization and cloud migration exposure
Preferred: Experience with REST APIs and integration technologies
Preferred: Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools
Preferred: Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, or Financial Services domain experience
