Job summary

Accenture PLC in Mexico City is seeking a Mainframe Developer to contribute to the development, support, and evolution of critical Mainframe applications. You will work with COBOL, JCL, CICS and DB2 across Batch and Online processes, collaborating with global teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions, participate in incident resolution, and help drive modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in Mainframe development.
Experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and SQL.
Experience with Batch and Online development.
Experience supporting and maintaining critical applications.
Experience managing production incidents.
Previous participation in development and technology evolution projects.
Experience in banking or financial environments.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
Work with Batch and Online development.
Develop and execute SQL queries within Mainframe environments.
Provide support and maintenance for business-critical applications.
Manage and resolve production incidents, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
Participate in application development, maintenance, and technological evolution initiatives.
Work with Control-M or equivalent process scheduling tools.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Contribute to technical discussions, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
