Job summary

Accenture México is seeking a Mainframe Developer to join our team in Mexico City or Mérida. You will develop, support and evolve critical mainframe applications, translating business requirements into reliable COBOL, JCL, CICS and DB2 solutions.

The role covers batch and online processing, production incident management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable mainframe services for banking and financial clients.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Mainframe development.
• Experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and SQL.
• Experience with Batch and Online development.
• Experience supporting and maintaining critical applications.
• Experience managing production incidents.
• Previous participation in development and technology evolution projects.
• Experience in banking or financial environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS and DB2.
• Handle both Batch and Online development processes.
• Write and optimize SQL queries in Mainframe environments.
• Provide maintenance and support for business-critical applications.
• Manage production incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Participate in evolution initiatives and cross-functional projects.
• Use Control-M or similar scheduling tools.
• Collaborate across teams through the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement.
