Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Category Manager, Machining (ES-A & GEIS) to lead the global Machining category strategy in the Americas and optimize a ~$70M spend. You will drive cost, quality, delivery and innovation by aligning cross-business teams and supplier partners.

The role requires 7–10 years in supply chain or procurement, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong negotiation and communication skills to influence global teams while ensuring supplier compliance with sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of professional experience in Supply Chain, Category Management, Procurement or Operations.
• Knowledge of the turned parts category and technology trends within the category.
• Ability to drive results via fact based negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, develop and execute strategic initiatives to facilitate cross-business synergies across a rationalized set of global and regional preferred supplier partners.
• Negotiate and manage key strategic supplier contracts and relationships.
• Review, approve, monitor and report compliance to category agreements and strategies based upon Eaton SCM strategic directions.
• Develop innovative business solutions, forecast commodity projections and provide mitigation actions as applicable.
• Present to senior management new planning tools, methods, technical analysis, standards and procurement opportunities that are aligned with SCM/Eaton strategic plans and cost reduction initiatives.
• Benchmark procurement processes to develop and implement best practices throughout Eaton and Supply Chain Management.
• Ensure compliance of suppliers with Eaton SCM Sustainability Programs, Go GREEN initiatives and SCM policies.
• Plan, prepare and execute annual profit planning for the owned spend, and support execution with the business cross functional teams.
• Lead Supplier Business Reviews with strategic suppliers annually.
