Job Description

The Loss Drafts Senior Associate is responsible for managing complex property damage and loss draft claims while ensuring compliance with established guidelines and requirements. This role reviews claim documentation, analyzes claim notes within the system of record, requests and evaluates inspections, and determines when exceptions may be required to support claim resolution.

The Senior Associate serves as a key resource for borrowers, contractors, attorneys, and internal partners by providing accurate guidance throughout the claims process, handling escalated inquiries, resolving complaints, and facilitating the timely disbursement of claim funds. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused approach to delivering a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries and requests through written and verbal channels in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner.
• Review, validate, and evaluate claim-related documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established requirements.
• Request inspections and analyze inspection results to support claim processing and funding decisions.
• Submit draw requests for claim funds when applicable and in accordance with established procedures.
• Review claim files and claim notes to determine appropriate next steps and identify potential exceptions when necessary.
• Provide guidance to borrowers, contractors, attorneys, and other stakeholders regarding claim status, requirements, and next steps.
• Handle escalated customer concerns and complaints with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment.
• Follow standard operating procedures and quality guidelines to ensure consistent and accurate claim handling.
• Assist with cross-training and knowledge-sharing initiatives for inbound representatives when applicable.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records by updating claim files, systems, and customer notes.
• Support inbound call volume and operational needs to help meet client expectations and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Verify and document claim check deposits and claim fund disbursements within the system of record.
