Job summary

FedEx Express México is seeking a Vehicle/Ground Support Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and modifications on FedEx vehicles and GSE at our Cuautitlán Izcalli facility in Mexico. The role requires hands-on work with automotive systems and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Requires four years of recent fleet or heavy equipment maintenance experience, the ability to lift heavy components, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Four years of recent fleet/industrial vehicle maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license and relevant licenses.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy vehicle components.
• Experience with automotive electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and modifications to FedEx vehicles and GSE.
• Completes required paperwork: VURR, VAGIS and FAMIS.
• Maintains documentation to comply with local regulatory agencies.
• Keeps a clean, safe work area per OSHA standards.
• Interfaces with FedEx employees and vendors regarding repairs.
• Completes project work as assigned.

Location: Parque Logistico San Martin Obispo Park II Calle Barranca Honda final s/n, Lote 2 Zona San Martin Obispo, autopista Chamapa Lecheria 54769 Cuautitlan Izcalli, MEX Mexico

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance; troubleshooting, repairs and modifications to FedEx vehicles and GSE.
• The completion of required paperwork for each assignment including VURR, VAGIS and FAMIS documentation.
• Compiles and maintains all documents necessary to comply with Local, regulatory agencies where applicable.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in accordance with corporate/OSHA standards.
• Interfaces with customer (FedEx employees) and vendors regarding vehicle and equipment repairs.
• Assumes responsibility for completion of project work.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years recent fleet, automotive, heavy equipment, or truck vehicle maintenance experience and applicable licenses/vocational training.
• Knowledge of the use and operation of all automotive equipment and testing equipment, gauges, and tools normally associated with the troubleshooting and repair of industrial hydraulic, gasoline, electrical and diesel automotive equipment.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver heavy vehicle industrial components.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
