This position is located in Mexicali for Marriott International, within the Courtyard brand. The Sr Ops Coordinator will oversee government property management, ensure compliance with FAR 52.245-1, and manage property lifecycle using SAP and eQuip, while coordinating with U.S.-based teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of related experience, plus fluency in English and Spanish. It demands strong communication, regional travel readiness, and adherence to corporate policies

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Government Property regulations, including FAR 52.245-1.
  • Experience managing or supporting government property lifecycle activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication with fluency in English.
  • Must be a Mexican Citizen or US Expat and have a visa allowing travel to the US when necessary.
  • Fluent English and Spanish due to frequent communication with U.S.-based teams and stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

  • Serve as the site's Government Property Site Manager (GOPS20) within the GAM division.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR 52.245-1 across all government property management.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of U.S. Government property including receipt, inventory, storage, issuance, utilization, and shipment.
  • Conduct metrics tracking and self-assessments to evaluate compliance and identify improvements.
  • Collaborate with Government Property Custodians and Coordinators to ensure proper processes and controls.
  • Analyze issues and recommend solutions using standard procedures and compliance guidelines.
  • Support audits and ensure documentation accuracy for all government property activities.
  • Utilize SAP and eQuip to manage and track property records.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and coordination across site teams.

POSITION SUMMARY

Contact appropriate individual or department (e.g., Sales, Data Administration, Accounting) as necessary to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems. Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott, including up-selling. Determine and give complimentaries to guests as gifts for their patronage (e.g., rewards points, show tickets, gift certificates). Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally. Process requests for redeeming Marriott Rewards points. Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail. Enter Marriott Rewards information into appropriate software when taking guest reservations. Answer, record, and process all guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns. Perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing (e.g., filing, sending emails, typing, faxing). Assist management in training and motivating employees; serve as a role model. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Monitor the performance of others to ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.

  • Ability to work under general supervision with occasional direction
  • Must be a Mexican Citizen or US Expat
  • Must have visa allowing trave to US when necessary
  • Fluent English and Spanish required due to frequent communication with U.S.-based teams and stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a Government Property Site Manager or similar role
