Role Overview

The Liaison Quality Engineer supports quality performance at the site and network level by managing customer-related quality issues, strengthening corrective and preventive action processes, and driving practical improvement actions. This role is hands-on, cross-functional, and focused on protecting product quality, responding to quality alerts, and improving the way issues are handled from first notice through closure.

What you will do
  • Ensure quality systems are implemented and maintained at the site and network level.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders on corrective and preventive actions for customer complaints and quality alerts.
  • Represent customer needs and concerns to plant management and provide liaison support between customers and plant/division teams.
  • Identify quality operational gaps and execute improvement strategies.
  • Develop quality control procedures and support inspection of incoming shipments.
  • Maintain corrective action systems for internal and external suppliers, including root cause analysis and 8D problem solving.
  • Respond to quality notification alerts and coordinate containment, rework, and physical disposition of non-conforming product.
  • Participate in Kaizen events and continuous-improvement activities.
How you will do it
  • Take ownership of quality outcomes by responding quickly to issues, documenting actions clearly, and following through until containment and corrective actions are complete.
  • Stay close to the work and the customer by listening to plant, supplier, and customer feedback and turning it into practical actions that remove obstacles and protect delivery.
  • Use fact-based problem solving and continuous improvement to drive root cause analysis, 8D discipline, Kaizen actions, and measurable follow-up.
  • Win as one team by building trust across customer, plant, engineering, and supply chain partners and keeping communication open and respectful.
What are we looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in quality, manufacturing, supplier quality, or a related technical environment.
  • Working knowledge of CAPA, root cause analysis, 8D, and quality alert processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, plant leadership, engineering, and suppliers.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize issues, manage follow-up, and drive actions to closure in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Kaizen events, supplier corrective action systems, or quality improvement initiatives.
  • Exposure to incoming inspection, non-conforming product disposition, or plant quality audits.
  • Experience supporting warranty-related or cost-of-poor-quality reduction activities.
What do we offer?
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Supportive and inclusive work environment.
  • Commitment to work-life balance and employee well-being.
  • Engagement in meaningful projects that make a difference.
