Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to advance lean processes and optimize production flow across our operations. You will lead improvements, mentor teams, and collaborate with quality, maintenance, and engineering to sustain world-class performance.

The role emphasizes data-driven decisions, problem solving, and hands-on optimization of equipment and tooling to meet quality and delivery targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering (desirable).
• 6 months to 2 years of experience as Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for process improvement.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methods.
• Experience improving or stabilizing production lines, equipment, or manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of stable production flow using Lean principles and continuous improvement tools.
• Analyze manufacturing processes to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and lower production cost.
• Run Kaizen events, 5S activities, Value Stream Mapping, root cause analysis, and standard work initiatives.
• Develop, improve, and validate manufacturing equipment, tooling, and processes to meet production needs.
• Partner with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to support day-to-day manufacturing performance.
• Support new product introduction and production readiness activities from early planning through launch.
• Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Monitor OEE, yield, downtime, and related production metrics, then drive corrective actions where needed.
• Lead troubleshooting activities and long-term corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure manufacturing processes follow applicable safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Train and support production staff on Lean tools and improved manufacturing practices.
