EPAM Systems in Mexico is seeking a Lead Python Full Stack Engineer to drive the design and delivery of scalable web applications. You will lead engineering teams, shaping architecture across the stack with Python and modern frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.

You will own backend services, APIs, and deployments, mentor engineers, and ensure code quality and performance across projects. Strong leadership and communication are essential, along with English proficiency at least B2.

Formación

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python.
• At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience.
• Strong expertise with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Solid working knowledge of React or Angular.
• Deep understanding of REST APIs, web application architecture, and design patterns.
• Proven experience designing and evolving complex systems.
• Strong background with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Practical experience with testing, debugging, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience leading engineering teams, mentoring developers, and driving technical initiatives.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to operate autonomously and guide others through ambiguity.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, at a minimum B2 level.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and development of full-stack applications using Python and modern frontend frameworks.
• Architect backend services, APIs, and integrations focusing on scalability and resilience.
• Define standards for responsive, maintainable frontend components and oversee their implementation.
• Own decisions around databases, cloud services, and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, QA engineers, and stakeholders to shape technical direction.
• Drive technical design sessions, lead code reviews, and facilitate architecture discussions.
• Mentor and coach engineers, fostering technical growth and engineering excellence within the team.
• Ensure long-term code quality, application performance, and maintainability across projects.
• Take ownership of delivery, identify risks early, and propose effective solutions.
