GE Vernova in Mexico City seeks a results-oriented Proposal Engineer with a strong background in electrical infrastructure sales and engineering. You will manage end-to-end complex technical and economic proposals for electrical substations, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver compelling solutions.

You will lead proposal development, risk management, costing and price calculations, and liaise with regional sales and external suppliers.

Formación

• Bachelor Engineering degree (Electrical / Civil highly preferred) from an accredited university.
• At least 5 years of experience in tendering for T&D / EBOP / Electrical Substation Turnkey projects.
• Strong technical and commercial background in T&D / EBoP Power Generation and industrial market is preferred.
• English and Spanish are mandatory; Portuguese is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Responsible for all aspects of proposal management, including proposal development, risk management and mitigation, specification compliance, scope development, costing and calculation of selling price through the creation of the EAS (estimate analysis sheet).
• Coordinate between all Product Lines involved and external suppliers and subcontractors.
• Provide leadership during the deal review process to ensure that all technical risk, pricing strategies and complete solution are properly incorporated.
• Support the Bid Manager in the pre-sales process.
• Collaborate with Region Sales and Account Managers to develop commercial strategies and solutions meeting customer requirements and business goals.
• Define target costs and negotiate with internal PLs and external suppliers.
• Drive review of risk elements and mitigate with support from other areas on deal strategy, schedule risks, equipment availability, and costing.
• Lead technical discussions with customers in the tender negotiation stage.

Job Description

EssentialResponsibilities:

• Responsible for all aspects of the proposal management, including proposal development, risk management and mitigation, specification compliance, scope development, costing and calculation of selling price through the creation of the EAS (estimate analysis sheet), coordination between all Product Lines involved and external suppliers and subcontractors.
• Provide leadership during the deal review process to ensure that all technical risk, pricing strategies and complete solution are properly incorporated in the development of the scope, cost and proposal wording.
• Responsible for supporting the Bid Manager in the pre-sales process.
• Collaboration with the Region Sales and Account Managers team to develop commercial strategies and solutions that meet customer requirements as well as meet or exceed business goals.
• Define target costs and negotiate with internal PLs and External suppliers.
• Drive the review of the risk elements presented in the technical offers and provide mitigation with the support of other areas on dealstrategy, schedule risks, equipment availability, Advance Order / Release, costing, performance and other identified risks.
• Support discussions on strategic opportunities and ensure strategic business alignment.
• Alignstrategic support to Product Line and negotiation with partners for civil works and erection scope.
• Assemble and recognize Market needs in terms of technical solution.
• Lead the technical discussion with customers in tender negotiation stage.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor Engineering degree (Electrical / Civil highly preferred) from an accredited university.
• At least 5 years of experience in tendering for T&D / EBOP / Electrical Substation Turnkey projects.
• Strong technicaland commercialbackground in T&D / EBoP Power Generation and industrial market is preferred.
• Ability to work in a matrix and cross functionalenvironment.
• Able to communicate effectively at all business levels and with support areas.
• Deeply knowledge of T&G products, processes, and organizationalstructure is preferred.
• Strong externalfocus, with ability to assess impact of price and performance decisions on customers, market, and investors.
• Strong oraland written communication skills.
• Strong reluctance to work under pressure and time constraint.
• English and Spanish are mandatories. Portuguese is a plus.
