Panasonic Corporation of North America seeks a Principal Engineer I to own the design integrity of display cases within the Core Portfolio. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive design quality, and align with customer and market needs through development and testing.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer – Core and Distributed Products, you will mentor engineers, steer DFMEA/DVPR processes, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering on cost and schedule targets.

Formación

• 10-15 years of directly related engineering experience in commercial refrigeration.
• Experience leading mechanical design projects adhering to department goals and standards.
• Strong analytical, influential, and commercially pragmatic approach.
• Global mindset with collaborative skills.
• Expertise in refrigeration systems incl. DX, trans-critical CO2, A2L, R290.
• Knowledge of UL/ASHRAE/ANSI/AHRI standards and test methods.
• Excellent time management and organization.
• 25% travel.
• BS in Engineering; MS preferred. 15 years’ experience if no MS.

• Provide strategic direction on product design and project planning.
• Lead cross-functional project teams and ensure design integrity.
• Mentor engineering teams and promote IP within the design process.
• Support external customers with high-level technical guidance.
