Job summary

Placements24, based in Acapulco, Guerrero, seeks a Chief Pharmacy Shift Pharmacist to lead the pharmacy during peak hours and oversee dispensing, inventory, and regulatory compliance. You will guide a team of pharmacy professionals to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires a Pharm.D., an active Guerrero license, and at least 6 years of pharmacy experience with 3 in a leadership capacity.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. degree from a recognized institution.
• Current and active pharmacy license in Guerrero, MX.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive pharmacy experience; at least 3 in supervision.
• Experience in hospital or retail pharmacy management, preferably as shift lead.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage pharmacy operations during assigned shifts.
• Oversee dispensing, verification, labeling, and timelines.
• Manage inventory to maintain stock and minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with all pharmaceutical laws and internal policies.
• Provide clinical services and patient counseling as needed.
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff; foster teamwork.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses on medication therapy.
• Perform quality assurance checks and drive improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of pharmacy transactions.
