Placements24 seeks an Innovative Drug Developer to join its R&D hub in Monterrey, Nuevo León, MX. The role leads cross-functional teams from discovery through pre-clinical and clinical stages and guides IND filings. You will shape pharmacology strategies and collaborate with CROs and regulatory groups to advance candidate programs.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.D. with a strong focus on pharmacology, molecular biology, or related biomedical science.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in drug discovery and development.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional drug development projects from early discovery through pre-clinical and clinical stages.
• Design and oversee pre-clinical study strategies (pharmacology, toxicology, ADME).
• Develop and refine drug candidates, optimizing pharmacological profiles and PK properties.
• Collaborate with regulatory affairs to prepare IND applications and submissions.
• Manage external collaborations and CROs.
• Analyze and interpret data to make critical go/no-go decisions.
• Stay current with scientific advancements and regulatory trends.
• Prepare high-quality scientific reports and manuscripts.
• Identify and evaluate new drug targets and opportunities.
