Job summary

KIA Mexico S.A. De C.V. is seeking a senior General Accounting leader to drive accurate financial reporting and IFRS/NIF compliance from Pesquería, Nuevo León. The role oversees the accounting team, sets priorities, and ensures solid internal controls with SOX alignment.

You will coordinate audits, support corporate finance consolidation, and partner with cross-functional teams to enable sound business decisions. Proficiency in SAP FI and S/4HANA is essential, with advanced English skills.”

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (CPA preferred) or related field.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Mexican Accounting Standards (NIF), and local tax regulations.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, financial statement analysis, and accounting controls.
• Minimum 2-3 years of people management experience, demonstrating leadership and decision-making capabilities.
• Advanced SAP FI knowledge; SAP S/4HANA experience is highly desirable.
• Advanced English proficiency with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Review financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, provisions, and variance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, NIF, SOX requirements, and local tax regulations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and act as the main contact for corporate finance consolidation and cross-functional departments.
• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, making key operational and financial decisions, setting priorities, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring achievement of departmental objectives.
