Job summary

Clarios, LLC is seeking a Functional Safety Project Manager to lead ISO 26262–driven safety activities for automotive low‑voltage battery systems in Monterrey. You will steer cross‑functional teams across systems, hardware, and software, ensuring timely safety deliverables and OEM alignment.

The role requires 8+ years in Functional Safety within automotive programs, with strong stakeholder management and communications to senior management and customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of Functional Safety experience in automotive engineering.
• Experience with ISO 26262 across complex automotive programs.
• Experience coordinating safety assessments, confirmation reviews, audits, and customer FS activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and drive Functional Safety activities for automotive low-voltage systems.
• Lead and coordinate Functional Safety Engineers across cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 and Clarios processes throughout the lifecycle.
• Interface with OEMs for Functional Safety reviews and audits.
• Manage Functional Safety risks, issues, actions, and change requests.
• Prepare projects for customer audits and FS evaluations.
