Job summary
Clarios seeks a Functional Safety Project Manager to guide FS activities for automotive low-voltage battery systems. You will lead FS efforts across systems, hardware, and software, ensuring ISO 26262 compliance and customer-facing FS governance with OEMs.
The role requires 8+ years in automotive FS, matrix leadership, and strong stakeholder management, with travel to support global projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Computer Engineering).
- ISO 26262 experience and leading safety activities across automotive programs.
- Minimum 8 years in Functional Safety engineering/management in automotive.
- Experience coordinating safety assessments, reviews, audits, and customer FS activities.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and drive Functional Safety activities for automotive low-voltage battery system projects.
- Indirectly lead Functional Safety Engineers, align priorities, track deliverables and blockers.
- Integrate Functional Safety requirements across Systems, Hardware, Software, and Production.
- Represent Clarios in OEM FS reviews, workshops, audits, and assessments.
- Drive risks, issues, actions, verifications, and change requests to closure.
- Lead cross-functional alignment on FS activities and prioritization throughout the lifecycle.
