Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Front-End Developer with deep React expertise to craft responsive, accessible web experiences and define engineering standards. You will guide teammates, drive UI decisions, and collaborate with product, design, and backend teams.

You will convert wireframes into high-quality React/JavaScript code, build reusable libraries, and accelerate delivery with GenAI-enabled practices, while mentoring juniors and ensuring code health across projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of front-end development background in JavaScript and React
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience (1+ years)
• Experience designing reusable UI architectures and scalable component libraries
• Strong proficiency in code reviews with quality standards
• Experience embedding GenAI tools in delivery workflows and GenAI prompt engineering

Responsibilities

• Build responsive, accessible web applications with high accessibility standards
• Create reusable frontend libraries and frameworks to boost scalability and maintainability
• Drive technical decisions for UI implementation, performance, and long-term code health
• Partner with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver cohesive interfaces
• Convert UI/UX wireframes into high-quality React/JavaScript code and provide design feedback
• Guide junior developers on best practices, coding standards, and career growth
• Run code reviews to raise quality, consistency, and team learning
• Tune application performance for fast load times and smooth interactions
• Troubleshoot complex issues for cross-browser and cross-device stability
• Apply unit and end-to-end testing to reduce regressions and increase reliability
• Work with QA to identify, prioritize, and resolve defects before releases
• Embed GenAI tools in daily workflows and validate outputs against data and quality constraints
• Advance continuous improvement by assessing new frontend practices and GenAI-enabled delivery methods
