AgileEngine is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to own the data pipeline and analytical architecture for a high-volume marketing analytics platform. You will govern ETL pipelines, define DAG-based orchestration with Airflow, and lead a team of senior developers while shaping the technical approach.

The role requires autonomy, deep OLAP experience, and strong AWS data stack skills, with 100% remote work. English proficiency and leadership are essential for guiding architecture and code quality.

Formación

• 7+ years of engineering experience designing ETL pipelines and large data systems.
• OLAP-style data architecture experience with Athena/Trino/Presto, BigQuery, Snowflake, Spark SQL or similar.
• Experience designing data lakes on object storage with partitioning and Parquet/ORC formats.
• Deep DAG/workflow orchestration knowledge (Airflow or comparable).
• Hands-on AWS data stack experience (S3, Athena, EKS).
• Python backend development (FastAPI or Flask) and REST/GraphQL familiarity.
• Docker and PostgreSQL for transactional/application layer.
• Strong Mac/Linux terminal skills; comfortable in code-heavy environments.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and responsible AI practices.
• Ability to defend technical decisions and operate under ambiguity.
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Design and own ETL pipelines for scalable data extraction and transformation.
• Make architectural calls on partitioning, file formats, and near-real-time processing for OLAP workloads.
• Own DAG design and triggering strategies in Airflow; lead architectural discussions.
• Drive AWS data stack usage and coordinate with DevOps for infra decisions.
• Review PRs and enforce code quality; mentor senior developers.
• Guide the team to align with established engineering practices.
