CodeRoad is hiring a Lead Backend Java Developer to anchor the technical architecture for high-throughput e-commerce systems. You will design scalable, secure server-side applications and lead cross-functional teams across Europe and beyond, while driving AI-first workflows and clean code practices.

You will own end-to-end system reliability, perform rapid root-cause analysis, and mentor teams through code reviews and technical guidance. 100% remote position with competitive USD compensation.

Formación

• 8+ years in backend software engineering with leadership experience.
• Expertise in modern Java (Java 17/21/25) and Spring Framework.
• Deep knowledge of relational DBs (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORM (Hibernate).
• Experience with Redis, Kafka, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Strong English communication and ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Architect and design high-performance, secure backend systems and APIs.
• Lead architectural decisions and optimize core services for scalability.
• Optimize complex DB queries and messaging flows for large-scale traffic.
• Collaborate with international teams and product managers.
• Own reliability, incident response and best-practice governance.
• Mentor engineering teams and promote AI-assisted tooling.
