Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. seeks a Lead AI Software Engineer in Mexico to design, implement, and maintain scalable Python microservices with FastAPI for automated content generation and marketing workflows.

You will optimize diffusion models, connect pipelines to custom evaluation harnesses, and deploy containerized services on AWS/GCP using Infrastructure as Code. Collaborate with senior architects in a fast-moving Kanban environment to ship reliable generative AI pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering with Python backend development.
• Production applications using generative AI, LLMs, and diffusion models.
• Experience with asynchronous backends (e.g., FastAPI) and cloud deployment (AWS or GCP).
• Solid testing, evaluation harnesses, and MLOps principles in Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable Python microservices with FastAPI for automated content generation.
• Optimize and integrate diffusion models and multimodal AI tooling.
• Connect pipelines to Python-based evaluation harnesses to validate output quality.
• Deploy containerized workloads on cloud infrastructure with IaC tooling.
• Contribute to Kanban discussions and rapid feature iteration with senior leadership.
