Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead AI & Deep Learning Engineer to bridge traditional ML/DL with agentic AI patterns for real-time live-stream workflows. You will deliver production-ready systems for content scanning, tagging, and contextual ad insertion, while architecting microservices over WebSockets with vector search and Weights & Biases evaluation.

You will lead design and implementation of high-performance search, OCR, and audio processing models, collaborate in a fast-paced Kanban

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering with ML/DL and agentic AI
• Experience building event-driven microservices and MCP over WebSockets
• Proficiency with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch and vector databases
• Model evaluation/tracking with Weights & Biases
• Strong Python and FastAPI backend development
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy agentic AI frameworks with WebSockets and event-driven architecture
• Fine-tune ML/DL models for classification, OCR, audio analysis
• Architect search/retrieval using OpenSearch/Elasticsearch and vector databases
• Establish evaluation pipelines with Weights & Biases
• Collaborate in Kanban with rapid prototyping and reviews
• Deliver robust production-ready agentic workflows for content tagging
