SEGULA Technologies is hiring a Layout Engineer in Toluca, Mexico, to develop and optimize workstation layouts (2D/3D) using AutoCAD for a major automotive assembly program, ensuring safety, quality and launch readiness in collaboration with Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing teams.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering (or equivalent).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and related drafting tools.
• Understanding of ergonomics, station design, lean manufacturing, and tooling integration.
• Strong collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain 2D and 3D workstation layouts using AutoCAD in alignment with production flow and plant constraints.
• Identify and specify equipment for the material presentation on the layout.
• Perform field checks to identify monuments and confirm layout accuracy.
• Provide build and installation drawings to the build team.
• Participate in pilot builds and process validation to verify layout accuracy and resolve design issues.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on ergonomics, productivity, and space utilization.
• Maintain accurate station documentation, drawing revisions, and design change logs.
• Work with the area lead to ensure the assigned area is ready to support build events.
