Autoliv Mexico is seeking a Launch Industrial Engineer to bridge product and process design with manufacturing, ensuring successful industrialization of new products from development to serial production.

You will lead APQP/PPAP activities, develop control plans, and drive PFMEA while coordinating readiness for new production lines and ensuring quality targets are met. Strong leadership and travel willingness are required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required in a technical field related to industrial/manufacturing engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years in Process/Industrial/Quality Engineering or manufacturing operations.
• Strong knowledge of APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and production launch processes.
• Proven understanding of manufacturing processes, process validation and readiness for production launches.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and leadership skills; travel willingness.

Responsabilidades

• Lead APQP and PPAP activities ensuring customer and internal requirements are met before production launch.
• Develop and validate prototype to serial production control plans for robust processes and product quality.
• Drive PFMEA and risk assessments; implement corrective actions.
• Manage customer quality concerns including root cause analysis and verification of closure.
• Monitor launch readiness and ensure SOP compliance before going into production.

In this role you will be responsible for bridging product and process design with manufacturing execution, ensuring the successful industrialization of new products from development through serial production. You will support the launch of new production lines by optimizing and standardizing manufacturing processes, validating process performance, and ensuring readiness to meet quality, productivity, and operational targets. Additionally, you will develop, validate, and continuously refine standardized work instructions during prototype, pilot, and pre-serial production phases to ensure a smooth transition into high-volume manufacturing.

Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve:

• Lead APDS and PPAP activities, ensuring all customer and internal quality requirements are met and approved prior to production launch.
• Develop, maintain, and validate prototype, pre-production, and serial production Control Plans to ensure robust manufacturing processes and product quality.
• Drive PFMEA activities and risk assessments, identifying potential failure modes, strengthening error-proofing measures, and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Manage customer quality concerns and complaints, including customer visits, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and verification of issue closure.
• Monitor launch readiness by tracking open quality issues, escalating risks as needed, ensuring timely resolution, and verifying compliance with Autoliv and customer requirements before SOP.

If you have/are:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or manufacturing operations within a production environment.
• Strong knowledge of APQP/PPAP methodologies, PFMEA, Control Plans, customer quality requirements, and production launch processes.
• Proven understanding of manufacturing processes, process validation, production readiness, and the ability to troubleshoot process, equipment, and tooling issues.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, with a results-oriented mindset, customer focus, attention to detail, and willingness to travel as required.
