Wabtec LATAM is seeking an experienced Customs Compliance Region Leader-LATAM to manage and maintain Wabtec’s customs compliance strategy for importers or exporters of record across LATAM. You will work cross-functionally to enforce the enterprise standard and ensure regulatory alignment while enabling business operations.

This leadership role reports to the Director, Global Exports and Customs Compliance and requires strong Spanish and English skills, a Bachelor’s degree, and extensive LATAM

Formación

• Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of industry customs compliance experience with people leadership experience.
• Licensed Customs Broker or appropriate in-country equivalent certification.
• Deep knowledge of local customs, trade and regulatory requirements related to LATAM import/export.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence cross-functionally.
• Strong problem-solving and process-focused background emphasizing accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Spanish and English.

Responsabilidades

• Lead LATAM Region customs compliance efforts, ensuring compliance with LATAM laws and regulations.
• Operationalize the Wabtec Customs Compliance Enterprise Standard across entities.
• Develop and maintain local standard work processes aligned with the enterprise standard.
• Drive discipline and timelines for customs compliance processes.
• Respond to government inquiries related to customs as required.
• Oversee issue resolution and address trade compliance risks in the region.
• Monitor regulatory changes affecting Wabtec units and communicate impact.
• Provide customs compliance training and mentorship to staff.
