Corning Incorporated in Reynosa, Mexico, seeks a Test and Qualification Technician Jr to support optical telecommunications testing, verification, qualification, and reliability testing in a structured lab environment.

The role fits hands-on, detail-oriented individuals who follow procedures and are motivated to learn. A Technical Associate’s degree is required, with preference for experience in electronics or fiber optics and basic English proficiency.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized lab area and assist with calibration activities.

As a Test and Qualification Technician Jr, you will support laboratory testing activities for optical telecommunications products, including verification, qualification, and reliability testing. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, follows procedures carefully, and is motivated to learn in a structured laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the setup, execution, and tracking of laboratory tests in accordance with documented procedures and applicable standards
• Assist with sample handling, test readiness checks, equipment setup, and optical measurements using manual or automated systems
• Document test results, support basic data analysis, and help maintain laboratory reports and records
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while supporting calibration, fixtures, and other general laboratory activities
  
  

Experiences/Education - Required

• Technical Associate’s degree (TSU)
• Previous experience in electronics, fiber optics, or other technical hands-on work is a plus
• Ability to use test and measurement equipment in a laboratory or technical environment
• Ability to follow documented procedures accurately and complete tasks within established timelines
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
