Citigroup in Mexico seeks a Credit Analyst 1 to support financial statement analysis and credit assessments. You will spread financials, assist in loan pricing and structure, and coordinate with Credit Officers and Relationship Managers to ensure thorough, compliant analysis.

The role requires 0–2 years in a financial institution, GAAP knowledge, and intermediate Excel. English proficiency is expected as part of the cross-border team.

Formación

• 0-2 years prior experience in a financial institution with a focus on credit analysis and spreading software.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP accounting, financial regulations, financial products, and credit analysis.
• Ability to analyze business and personal financial statements with respect to GAAP and Citibank policies.

Responsabilidades

• Accurately spreads business and personal financial statements and tax returns on a timely basis per GAAP and Citibank policies.
• Provides comments to the judgmental Underwriter on significant items in the financials and may assist with loan pricing and structure.
• Spreads new, renewal and interim financial statements and tax returns per bank guidelines (focus on more complex statements).
• Provide succinct analysis based on customers, peers, the portfolio, and the industry.
• Provide preliminary analysis of simple to complex credits, including cash flow, DSCR, collateral, and guarantor net worth.
• Coordinate with Credit Officers, Credit Analysts, Other Credit Center Staff and Relationship Managers.
• Act as an advisory role for Credit Officers/Relationship Managers on loan agreement/covenants and monitoring.
• Complete quality assurance reviews to ensure applications are thorough and accurate prior to underwriting.
• May act as an industry specialist with responsibility for SBA/EXIM loan analysis
• Assess risk in business decisions, adhering to laws and Citigroup policies and escalate issues.

Experiencia en productos financieros deseable
