KONE Mexico is seeking a Jr Engineer based in Torreón to join our engineering team. The role focuses on solving problems and designing innovative solutions, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with codes and standards.

You will create technical design proposals, document your work with drawings and electrical diagrams, verify and validate designs, and support agile practices.

• Create technical design proposals using applicable tools and document with drawings and diagrams.
• Verify and validate own designs; develop concepts, mock-ups and prototypes for implementation.
• Maintain and update existing designs; execute corrective or preventive actions when needed.
• Support agile ways of working; participate in sprint planning and collaborate with software teams.
• Identify and report technical and schedule risks; manage product data per PDM/PLM guidelines.

In this role, you will act as a problem solver and design innovator, collaborating with colleagues to identify issues and develop competitive solutions. You will create technical design proposals using applicable tools, documenting your work with drawings, electrical diagrams, calculations, and product models to ensure compliance with legal requirements, codes, and standards.
You will be expected to verify and validate your own designs, developing concepts, mock-ups, and prototypes to support implementation into operations. Maintaining and updating existing designs will also be part of your responsibilities, including executing corrective or preventive actions when needed.
Supporting agile ways of working, you will follow solution creation practices, participate in sprint and quarterly planning, and collaborate actively with software teams and other disciplines. You will identify and report technical and schedule risks, while creating and maintaining product data in line with PDM/PLM guidelines.
Additionally, you will continuously improve your own know-how and share expertise with colleagues, strengthening organizational capability and embedding a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
